The ONE, the first-ever single-seater From Jetson eVTOL, is expected to arrive soon
Bringing some fun and excitement to the near future with the Jetson ONE eVTOL
The Swedish eVTOL startup's Jetson ONE personal electric aerial vehicle has been introduced. The single-seater Jetson One vehicle is designated "ultralight" in the United States, indicating that you don't require a pilot's license to operate it. For the price of a Tesla Model S, you may purchase this flying vehicle. After having completed a prototype in 2018, Jetson Aero has introduced a consumer model of eVTOL, ONE. The firm's limited production run for 2022, which sold out rapidly, has already been filled. They are now taking orders for the 2023 models, which also have limited availability.
This Swedish firm, founded in 2017 by Peter Ternstrom and Tomasz Patan, focuses on eVTOL aircraft. In the eVTOL technology and commercial aerial transportation sector, over 150 businesses are creating their own "flying cars," but most of them are still in the prototype stage.
In the United States, the price for this small vehicle will set you back about $92,000. You'll get a half-built kit with propellers and motors, an aluminum space frame, motor controllers, and an assembly manual. This eVTOL is only 190 pounds and can support up to 210 pounds of weight on its own.
The Jetson is a high-performance, energy-efficient machine. The ONE is made of carbon fiber. The ONE's carbon frame has excellent resistance and is extremely light. The ONE allows for hands-free hover and offers emergency functions that give you peace of mind. The eVTOL bodywork has been created to be as thin and feasible as to improve the driving and weight distribution balance. Vacuum infusion manufacturing is used to create this stunning bodywork. This technique allows for thin wall sections that couldn't be produced using conventional methods.

An all-aluminum frame with eight powerful electric motors and safety features that include a ballistic parachute and a backup propulsion system is included in the ONE. The plane's movements may be controlled by the operator using a throttle lever, a joystick, and pedals. During the flight, a triple-redundant flight computer program maintains steadiness. Terrain tracking and obstacle avoidance are aided by lidar sensors on the eVTOL. If the engine fails or the battery goes down, the ballistic parachute can be deployed in seconds.
The ONE is capable of 20-minutes of airtime and is enough for you to fly at speeds up to 63 mph. However, given Jetson Aero's emphasis on streamlining regulatory processes, the ONE appears more like a toy than a major multi-seat city air taxi, which might be seen as an advantage. Jetson combines top performance with environmental friendliness. This eVTOL is an eco-friendly vehicle that doesn't make any compromises, and it's designed to deliver outstanding results at a reasonable cost.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) does not consider ultralights to be planes, classifying them as "cars" that do not need to adhere to U.S. or foreign airworthiness regulations. Ultralight aircraft are typically used for pleasure. According to FAA regulations, these vehicles are not permitted to fly in a city's crowded area (nor will it help you avoid traffic) or restricted air space such as airports. You are also not allowed to fly during nighttime hours.
In 2022, only 12 Jetson One vehicles will be manufactured, of which 12 have been sold to clients in Europe, the United States, and Brazil. In the production plan for 2023, there will be 17 produced, but just three remain available for purchase. Beginning next summer, Jetson will start manufacturing the ONE for the 2022 lineup that will be delivered later that fall.
